David joined the firm in 2008 after graduating from Canterbury University's Law School.

David has experience in family, criminal and transport, dispute resolution, environmental, employment and property law.

David has well honed skills in all aspects of litigation and brings to his clients work a methodical, rigourous approach which ensures that he obtains the best results possible. David regularly appears in the District Court, Family Court, Environment Court, at Department of Labour Mediation, before the ACC Appeal Authority and the Parole Board.

He has also been instructed by clients to represent them at regional council hearings in order to make submissions on plan changes and activities which adversely affect them.

A true Cantabrian, David is embracing life in the Waitaki and is involved in the community through the Community Law Centre, giving talks to local Scout groups and playing cricket for Oamaru Cricket Club.

In his spare time David is a keen runner who regularly competes in half marathons throughout the country and the annual Peak to Pub race. He also plays touch rugby and has an interest in military history.
